Bristol International Airport (BRS) is situated
eight miles to the southwest of Bristol city centre, along the main A38 road. The airport is a
single-terminal facility, handling about four million passengers every year to and from other UK and European
destinations and now the US . Several low-cost airlines fly to the airport including easyJet, Ryanair
and Flybe. British Airways, Air France and Continental Airlines also fly here regularly. The terminal
has a number of passenger facilities which include: a bureaux de change, cash machines, information
desks, shops and eateries.
Public Transport
Bath is a 45-minute drive away. There are frequent bus departures from Bristol airport to
Bristol T
emple
Meads railway station. From there visitors can catch a train or a bus to
Bath
. Both the buses and trains run approximately every half hour or so. The train journey takes 15
minutes.
Airport Express
The best way to get to
Bristol city centre from Bristol International Airport is to take the regular Bristol International Flyer express
coach, which is fast and reasonably priced. The Bristol International Flyer makes stops in the city centre and at
Temple Meads Station. You can also travel by coach to Bristol city centre and destinations
beyond.
The Bristol International
Flyer is the only
express link between Bristol Railway Station (Temple Meads), Bristol Bus Station, Clifton and Bristol
International Airport. The journey time to the City Centre is approximately 30 minutes, with services operating
daily between 0230 and 0045*

From Bristol International the service
operates two alternating routes, the '330' linking Temple Meads, City Centre, Key Hotels and Clifton and the '331'
which also serves Temple Meads before continuing onwards to the Bus Station (same routes operate in
reverse).
Taxis
Taxis are a convenient way of getting into Bristol,
and they leave from directly outside the terminal exit, near Arrivals. It is always best to
use Checker
Cars which is
their dedicated taxi service operating on-site at Bristol International Airport.
They operate a fleet of air-conditioned, new model, Ford Galaxys and are available
24hrs a day.
The booking desk is located within the new covered walkway which links the terminal
to the pick up car park and is open 24/7.
Train
The nearest train station to Bristol International
Airport is Bristol Temple Meads, approximately seven miles away. The Bristol International Flyer express coach
service connects you from Bristol Temple Meads to the airport every 15 minutes at peak times.
Coach
National Express coaches operate throughout the South
West and South Wales to Bristol Bus Station where you can connect to the Bristol International Flyer, taking you
directly to the terminal building.
