Getting to Marbella by Road

Arriving from Malaga and destinations east of Marbella, take the N-340 towards Cadiz. Midway you will reach Fuengirola, from where you can either remain on the same road or take the 'Costa del Sol' toll motorway, with the latter option involving a fee but offering a considerably quicker route. From destinations north of Marbella, the A376 is the most significant road available, while from Estepona and other destinations west, the N-340 provides primary access.

There is one main bus company (Portillo) serving the towns and villages of the Costa del Sol.

The bus station is located a few km inland from the centre of the town adjacent to the N340 coast road at one of the intersections. The local buses pass through the town, however the long distant coaches do not.

There is a taxi rank outside the main entrance.

There are also many buses coming from almost every big city in Spain and most of the cities in the Costa del Sol region.

A coach company which travels to Malaga is National Express.
