Bus tours: A red open-top Bus Turistic (website: www.valenciabusturistic.com) operates a daily year round hop-on hop-off service covering all the main attractions. From March to December, it also runs a separate service to La Albufera.The tours leave from Plaza de la Reina, and you can get on and off the bus when you want throughout the day.

Walking and cycle tours: Valencia Guias, the city's official guides (tel: 96 385 1740; website: www.valenciaguias.com), organise guided walking tours of the city. Meet at the entrance of the tourist office on Plaza de la Reina for 10:00. You can book your tour through the Tourist Office, hotels and directly with the guide at the meeting point. They also organise guided bike and Segway tours to the heart of the city along the former river bed of the Turia.
